Just about everything! A fantastic hotel from the second you step inside. The decor is amazing, very modern but all natural looking woods, granite, fur chairs and stools etc. Lovely ambience in the bar area in the evening with a wood burning fire and comfy chairs. The ski in / ski out is 10 steps from the boot room so no poling! Good position on the slope so easy to start skiing almost immediately. The spa is very relaxing and the indoor pool warm and inviting. The staff are extremely helpful in every way with every little detail / request attended to quickly and willingly; they even know exactly who you are and call you by name which is a nice personal touch. We will be back.
There is hardly anything we as a group of six ladies did not like. It would have been useful to have a mirror in the main bedroom rather than just the bathroom. Being English, we would have liked tea-making facilities in the bedroom. The hotel was expensive and we would have liked the food and drink to be 20% cheaper - if it had been we would have spent more time at the bar rather than heading into town (which isn't very far, just walking distance). A gin and tonic was 12 euros and a pot of tea was 5.50 euros.

I felt the food was very expensive compared to quality and what is offered at competing hotels

Perfect for families looking for a winter escape
The breakfast was delicious! So many choices, we seemed like royalty! And the ski hire inside the hotel was super convenient. No hassle at all, we just walked out and hit the slopes.
It wasn't cheap, definitely on the pricier side, but still acceptable for the level of service.

I recently spent a week at Altapura Hotel & Spa, and it impressed me. The ski-in/ski-out access made hitting the slopes super convenient-no long walks in ski gear. The room had fine views, and the decor throughout the hotel created a cozy vibe. I spent evenings relaxing by the fireplace, listening to live music. Breakfast was a highlight, with a massive buffet with fresh options. I found the gym a bit crowded during peak hours was nice. One downside was the limited variety in dinner options. I wished for more unique flavors. The spa facilities were nice but could use better maintenance around the pool area, as I walked through a constantly wet spot. My stay was enjoyable, with friendly staff and good service, but I believe improvements in dining variety and gym space would elevate the experience further.

friendly staff, great food, good location for ski in/ski out - only thing that let us down was perhaps the restaurant staff - they were lovely but just seemed a bit under staffed! Great friendly hotel and would definately go back!
